PLEASE NOTE: The mini-symposium ‘Oral history in education’ on Thursday 19 May will be moved to autumn 2022.
As a follow-up to the successful mini-symposium ‘Everyone Tells Their Stories’, Erfgoed Gelderland is organising another mini-symposium on oral history on Thursday, May 19. This time, we will explore the role and importance of oral history for education under the title ‘Oral history in education’.
Marloes Hülsken (senior lecturer in Teacher Training History at the HAN and lecturer in History and subject didactics at Radboud University) takes us through the possibilities of the interview technique in the classroom. By means of a number of inspiring sample projects, we discover how heritage organisations can put this into practice themselves.
The mini-symposium ‘Oral history in education’ will take place in the atrium of Erfgoed Gelderland, Westervoortsedijk 67-D, 6827 AT Arnhem. The programme starts at 14.00 hrs. From 13.30 hrs onwards, coffee and tea will be ready for you. The final, substantive programme will follow shortly. At about 16.00 hrs. the programme will be concluded and there will be time for discussion and exchange of experiences during the drinks.
You can register via this registration form. Please note that there is limited space available. Do you want to be assured of a place? Then register quickly. Members of the oral history network have priority on participation. Do you want to become a member of the network? Please contact Lian van der Zon.
