Sunny Bergman: ‘Since #MeToo, there have been constant shocking revelations about sectors of society where sexual violence is systematic. In my opinion, the ensuing debates focus too much on isolated incidents: the perpetrators are called monsters and everyone rushes to distance themselves from them, while structurally nothing changes. Meanwhile, a deeper understanding of why sexual violence affects so many people still seems a long way off.’
