Bystander Memories contains a total of 59 interviews with Dutch non-Jewish eyewitnesses to the persecution of the Jews. These interviews are part of a project carried out by the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, Oral History Department, where it falls under the ‘Europe Interview Projects: Interviews with Witnesses, Collaborators, and Perpetrators’.
In addition to the Dutch interviews, interviews were also conducted in (Belarusian) Russian, Greek, Macedonian, Polish, Ukrainian, Serbian, Estonian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Moldavian, French, German, and Romanian.
