Children of the past

‘Children of the Past’ increases historical awareness by exploring children’s survival choices during the war. The project focuses on both Dutch and German children, with a special focus on the impact of Camp Amersfoort. Through interviews with survivors, relatives and people from different backgrounds (such as parents in the NSB or the resistance), it highlights diverse perspectives on wartime experiences. This project helps today’s youth understand that children are not responsible for their parents’ choices and offers a multifaceted insight into the war and its aftermath.
