The Second World War is more than 65 years behind us, but the memories of it are still vivid and powerful. It is striking that today’s children are very interested in the general history and consequences of this war.
Research has shown that young people process and remember information better when they are told things through images. The unique Süskind teaching package, developed for upper primary and lower secondary schools, offers the opportunity to pass on the memory and lasting significance of the Second World War to current and future generations. In society we see that the generation of eyewitnesses of the Second World War is slowly but surely disappearing, and therefore different demands must be placed on the transmission of the history of the Second World War in the future.
