OH-CORE will be developed together with DANS-KNAW and SURF as an extension of the infrastructure research project Oral History – Stories at the Museum around Artworks (OH-SMArt) and in support of the NWO-OC XS research Smart Care. The goal is to significantly improve the sustainable preservation and secure accessibility of unique source material for the social sciences and humanities. Using interview material from the University of Amsterdam and existing infrastructure components, SURF and DANS-KNAW are developing a dynamic virtual oral history research environment, in which researchers authorized by the data owner can collaborate. The new system will be generically deployable and easy to embed in the national digital research infrastructure.
