From 2000 to 2004, the Royal Athenaeum of Aarschot ran an oral history project at school under the direction of Marc Vanlangendonck and Liesbet Meuwis. Students conducted interviews – often with grandparents – about daily life in the Hageland region. Excerpts from these interviews were published.
